i-WASP

The philosophy of i-WASP is to enable everyone in a project to understand the total design and production process and link relevant best practice guidance to it. Construction projects are immensely complex and to consistently achieve best practice very challenging. People have to take increasing responsibility for complex tasks and yet the education, training and support is not integrated to enable them to operate totally effectively.

i-WASP is a structured approach to providing appropriate information and knowledge so enabling team members to deal with the specifics of the project more effectively.

The goal is for top quartile project performance.

The i-WASP project management philosophy is radical, based on collaboration and integrated working. Centred on Technology Clusters, which have been developed over many years by consolidating the tried and tested experiences of the UK’s leading practitioners. An additional and new concept is that site work is also reorganised. In fact, the component assembly process must be designed to achieve total completion at each visit. This means designing the workplace for ‘right first time’ construction.

This production-led philosophy, is designed to deliver a design-led and customised project solution for clients and will only work when every individual involved is reading from the same script. This must be available at each and every point when needed to guide, explain and reinforce the approach.
