The industry takes great leaps with seminal reports backed by aggressive action plans. Sir Michael Latham’s report changed contract practice and is still influencing it. Subsequently, Sir John Egan questioned the whole basis of the industry’s practices and advocated a new approach which is still working its way through the industry.
